Some effects (acute calming from L-theanine + magnesium) within 60–90 minutes of a dose. Adaptogenic effects (ashwagandha-driven baseline cortisol modulation) develop over 2–4 weeks of consistent daily use. The full picture — for chronic anxiety — typically settles around week 4–6.
Safe long-term?
Yes. All ingredients have well-established safety profiles in companion animals at the doses formulated. Ashwagandha is the one to monitor in animals with autoimmune conditions or thyroid issues — consult your vet first in those cases.
Compatible with prescription anti-anxiety medication?
Generally yes for SSRIs and TCAs at supplemental doses, but always confirm with your veterinarian before combining. Avoid in animals on benzodiazepines without vet sign-off.
Replaces a behaviorist?
